Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
Odin is proprietary software. By downloading the Odin desktop app, using odinsub.com, joining the waitlist, or subscribing to Pro, you agree to these terms.
Hosted cloud services
For signed-in users, Odin provides hosted cloud speech-to-text, translation, and Q&A through Supabase Edge Functions. You do not need to supply or pay for third-party API keys to use these features. Usage is subject to plan limits (see Subscriptions below). Odin may change hosted providers, models, or quotas with reasonable notice where practical.
Optional BYOK (bring your own keys)
Advanced users may optionally configure their own API keys (Gladia, OpenRouter, or other
supported providers) in Settings or a local .env file. In BYOK mode, you
contract directly with those vendors and are responsible for their terms, billing, rate
limits, and compliance. BYOK is not required for normal use.
Subscriptions & billing
- Free: includes hosted cloud features within monthly limits (e.g. 5 hours cloud speech-to-text per calendar month and 2 Q&A questions per rolling 24 hours, as shown on the pricing page).
- Pro: higher limits via a recurring subscription processed by Stripe. Early-bird pricing ($9.99/mo, regular $14.99) may apply at checkout while launch pricing is active. Annual billing may be offered on the Stripe checkout page.
- Enterprise: custom usage and pricing — contact us via the community page.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in Stripe or through support. We may suspend or downgrade accounts for non-payment or abuse.
- Plan limits and pricing may change before general availability; existing Pro subscribers at early-bird rates keep their locked-in price while the subscription remains active.
Acceptable use
- Use Odin only where you have legal rights to capture and transcribe audio.
- Do not attempt to bypass authentication, plan limits, telemetry controls, or vendor rate limits.
- Do not use Odin to harass, spam, or process unlawful content.
- Do not resell or redistribute hosted cloud capacity without authorization.
Third-party services
Odin relies on independent providers including Supabase (auth and data), Gladia (speech), OpenRouter (inference), Stripe (billing), and Vercel (website analytics). Their availability, pricing, and policies apply to your use through Odin. We do not guarantee uptime or accuracy of transcription, translation, or Q&A answers.
Software updates
Packaged Windows builds may download and install updates automatically via Squirrel from Odin’s update feed. Updates are optional to apply but recommended for security and compatibility. By using the app you consent to this update mechanism.
Accounts
Sign-in uses Google OAuth or email and password. Account recovery and email confirmation run on odinsub.com. We may suspend accounts or waitlist access for abuse or to protect the service. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
Disclaimer
Odin is provided “as is” without warranty. Live subtitles and AI answers may be incorrect. Verify important information independently. Cloud quotas, features, and pricing may change as the product evolves.
